What's included in a stall?

So glad you asked! When you book a standard vendor stall at the Adelaide Comic and Toy Fair, you’re getting:

·         One glorious 2.4m (8-foot) trestle table – fully set up and ready for you (note, we have an option available for artists, authors and creators which is a wee bit smaller at 1.8m (6-foot)

·         Entry for you + one trusty sidekick – because no one should vend alone.

·         Promo power! We’ll may give you a shout-out across our social media (Facebook, Insta, Website).

·         Up to 2 chairs – one for you, one for your plus-one

Can I bring along extra helpers?

  • You can bring up to 4 extra helpers per stall booking.

  • It’s $7 per extra helper, which is cheaper than a coffee and way more useful.

  • Fair warning: if you bring a crew, they’ll need to BYO chair. Our chair stash is limited and reserved for the OG duo.

Why was my application unsuccessful / Why haven’t I heard back?

We get a lot of applications – like, a lot. We wish we had room for everyone, but sadly our venue can only handle so much awesome. If you didn’t get in this time, it doesn’t mean your stuff isn’t cool—it just might be too similar to what others are already bringing. Don’t be discouraged! We’d love to see you apply again for future events.

Can I bring my own tables and displays?

 Absolutely! One stall space is generally 8ft x 8ft, so feel free to get creative within that footprint. Setting up shelves or storage behind your table is totally fine—but please don’t spill out into the walkway. It causes access issues for others (and trust us, no one wants to trip over a box of ninja turtles).
Got heavy shelving? Bring a trolley and tread gently—our venue has fancy floors that need to be basketball-ready once we’re done playing with toys. If your setup could leave a mark, please rethink or pad accordingly. Play nice!

Do I need Public Liability Insurance to trade?

Yep, you sure do. It’s a condition of trade at the Adelaide Comic and Toy Fair. You can either show us your own policy or opt in to be covered under ours (for a small extra fee). No insurance = no stall. Them’s the rules!

Will my stock be insured at the event?

Nope! We don’t cover your stuff—so if a rogue gust of wind, careless elbow, or rampaging toddler takes out your table of treasures, you’re on your own. Stock-in-trade insurance isn’t required to trade, but it’s a smart move. Most insurance companies can hook you up.

Do you provide power?

Power isn’t included as standard, but we do have a limited number of stall with access to power outlets available on a first come first served basis. If you need electricity, be sure to request it when booking—we’ll do our best to accommodate where possible.

Is there parking for vendors?

Yep! Vendor parking is available on-site, but we strongly recommend that you only use for bump-in and bump-out – during the event we ask that vendors relocate to a nearby side street, or the Woodville Train Station which is a short walk from the venue. We'll email you a bump-in map before the event with parking and unloading zones clearly marked.

What are the bump-in and bump-out times?

We’ll send out final bump-in/bump-out times closer to the event via email, but generally you’ll be bumping in from around 7:00am on the day of the event. All vehicles must be moved offsite or into vendor parking by 8:30am sharp to keep the car park safe and the crowd flowing.

Can I pack up early?

We get it—you’re tired, your feet hurt, and you’ve mentally left the building. But we ask that all vendors stay until the official end time (usually 3:30pm). Packing up early disrupts the vibe and the flow. Hang in there, hero.

Will the venue be air-conditioned?

You bet! The venue is climate-controlled, so whether it’s a scorcher or a cold snap, your comics won’t melt and your vintage action figures won’t shiver.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Not officially. We recommend bringing your own hotspot or using mobile data. We’re too busy trading toys and comics to guarantee a stable connection.

What can't I sell?

No weapons (real or replica), no counterfeit goods, no bootlegs, and nothing dangerous, offensive, or banned by Australian law. If in doubt, check with us ahead of time—we’re here to help, not to police your Pokémon cards.

Can I rent more tables?

Maybe. If we’ve got extras, we’ll offer them at the time of booking or via email beforehand. But don’t bank on it—our tables are as in-demand as a mint-on-card Boba Fett.

Do I need an ABN to sell?

If you're selling as a business, yep. Hobbyists and collectors clearing out their stash? You're usually okay without one—but check the ATO guidelines if you're unsure.
